About & trust
A filing desk, not a law firm.
Distillers Desk prepares and files distillery permits, labels, formulas, registrations and reports. You stay in control: you approve every filing and pay agencies directly.
Who we are
Distillers Desk is a trade name of Voraus LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company operated from Seattle, Washington. Our sister desks are Vintners Desk for wineries and cideries and Brewers Desk for breweries. Same people, same process.
What we do, and don’t
- We prepare and file your paperwork: permits, label applications, formulas, registrations, reports and returns.
- Not a law firm; not attorneys, CPAs or enrolled practitioners. We do not give legal or tax advice, and we are not attorneys, CPAs or practitioners enrolled before TTB under 31 CFR Part 8, so we don’t take part in conferences, hearings, appeals or permit proceedings. Our correspondence with TTB is factual, about filings we prepared, and you are always copied. If TTB raises a legal issue, we tell you promptly so your own counsel can handle it.
- We are a private company, not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for TTB, the FDA or any state agency. Nothing on this site is an official government form or notice.
- Voraus LLC never buys, sells, takes title to, holds or ships alcohol, and never holds your tax payments.
- We don’t act as U.S. Agent for foreign food facilities.
How we keep it accurate
Rules on this site were checked against the Code of Federal Regulations (ecfr.gov) and TTB’s website on Oct 27, 2026. Each statement on our rules overview links to its source. For your filings, we confirm the current rule for your situation and each state before quoting.
Our guarantee
1. Our errors, fixed free
If TTB or a state agency rejects, returns or asks for a correction on a filing because of an error in our preparation, we fix it and refile it (or prepare it for you to refile, for anything you submit yourself) at no charge, as many times as that error requires.
2. Permit paperwork within 5 business days
Your DSP registration, permit or amendment paperwork is ready for your approval within 5 business days of our receiving complete information. If it isn’t, we take $100 off that service’s fee (never more than the fee itself).
3. Other deadlines we commit to in writing
If we miss any other preparation or filing deadline that we committed to in writing, we credit or refund the lesser of $100 or that service’s fee.
What isn’t covered
- Government fees, taxes, penalties and interest. We never pay or reimburse TTB or state penalties.
- Errors in information, records, artwork or formulas you supplied
- Delays on your side, such as late records, approvals or signatures
- Agency processing times and agency discretion
- Changes in law or agency practice
Limits
We never promise approval: only the agency decides. Our total liability for any service is capped at the fees you paid us for that service.
How to use it
- Send us the agency notice or tell us about the missed date within 30 days.
- We confirm the cause in writing within 2 business days.
- We fix the filing within 2 business days of getting anything we need from you, or issue the credit or refund within 10 business days.
In effect from Oct 28, 2026.
